Artists Branding Services
Artists and craftspeople present a unique challenge in terms of branding. They live in a space that bridges the gap between personal branding and business branding, because their business is based on their creations. I am driven to offer artist branding services for creatives because I am both an artist and a designer. Many artists take a DIY approach to branding, which is understandable since they are creative. However, the years of study and experience that guide professional designers is hard to replace with sheer will-power.
Building Artist’s Branding
Abstract Infusion is my own art business, though admittedly I don’t spend much time on it these days. I formerly specialized in mixed media abstracts. Most of my marketing efforts take place online, on social media. So, when it came time to build my artist brand identity, it was really important to me to have a design that would resonate well across digital channels and in print. I also knew that I wanted a letter-mark that verged into the abstract.
Choosing the right typeface made the whole design fall into place. After fitting the “i” character visually inside the “a” character, the rest was a piece of abstract cake.
Artist Branding Services: Beyond The Logo
While this business needed traditional brand design services such as a logo and stationary, the most used elements were the social media profile image and header image. In the age of online shopping, the public facing elements of a business are expanded into the digital territory. A branding suite is no longer just a style guide and print pieces. In many cases it extends to the businesses online presence. This particular business does not have a website or online store but conducts most of its marketing and sales through social media channels. However, having the digital branding in place would make building a website for this brand a logical next step.
